Crafting Excellence
Heading 5
Dan Mullock started Shaftcrafters when he had to finish his rough-in shaft himself in 2020 and could not get a contractor to do so. He lives in Mt. Pleasant along with his family and serves the greater Charleston and nearby coastal communities in the South Carolina low country. Dan is a proud veteran of the USAF, joining his father and three siblings in serving our country in the military.

Why
Shaftcrafters?
Shaftcrafters makes or finishes elevator shafts for your home elevator. We are the most experienced in all types of elevator shafts in the lowcountry.
Installing a home elevator requires two distinct efforts:
- Creating or finishing the vertical elevator shaft so it is ready for system and cab installation.
- Installing the cab and other system components.
Most customers use two separate contractors; Shaftcrafters to do the shaft and a local elevator provider to install the system and cab components. Shaftcrafters focuses solely on the shaft construction or completion (for homes with a rough-in shaft that needs finishing). We don’t do anything else.

Shaftcrafters has done over 40 shafts over the past 4 years, working closely with many of the local elevator system sellers. We have built internal and external elevator shafts and have created in-house space for self-supporting cylindrical and rectangular acrylic and glass elevators. We are the ideal partner for analyzing your multi-level home to determine the most effective design and cost for installing a shaft and elevator system. Our expertise ensures that every project is tailored to the unique structure and needs of your residence, maximizing both safety and convenience. Rely on our expertise. Shaftcrafters does site surveys at no cost and typically completes them the same week they are requested. By entrusting Shaftcrafters with this critical assessment, homeowners gain access to a customized solution that enhances mobility for all occupants, increases the property’s value, and future-proofs the home for aging in place or accommodating guests with limited mobility. Our thorough analysis balances aesthetic integration with technical precision, delivering a seamless upgrade that transforms daily living and ensures lasting satisfaction. Home elevators really come in handy when the unexpected knee, hip, leg or back problem make hiking up and down the stairs too risky or difficult.
